Meet Sydney, the sweetest pup you may ever have the pleasure of meeting! Sydney was brought to us by her foster mom for some professional portraits to really show off her beautiful features (look at those eyes!). Sydney is looking for her “fur-ever” home and we are doing all we can to help this sweet girl find the family she so desperately deserves.
Sydney is a lab mix. There has been a great deal of speculation as to what she has been mixed with but that’s what makes her so unique! She’s one year old and was found out in the cold in Missouri without a family to speak of. She has had one litter of pups and is now spayed. She’s been staying with her foster mom since January but would really thrive in a family of her own. Please see the ad that describes Sydney so well. She is currently available for adoption through Placing Paws in Libertyville, IL.
I had the privilege of having a sleep-over night with Sydney in my home. She is gentle, kind and eager to please. She is great with other dogs, cats, and children. She is a cuddle bug! While her size is slightly smaller than the average lab, she still thinks she’s a lap dog and it is so endearing! She is shy at first but warms up very quickly. Before I knew it she was my little shadow! My entire family enjoyed having her around.
She’s been working on training with her foster mom. She is housebroken, crate trained, and knows a few basic commands such as sit and paw. She’s very good at taking direction and I believe could be trained to do just about anything. She’s extremely intelligent and just wants to do whatever it takes to make you happy! If you are considering bringing a dog into your home, I urge you to meet Sydney. It is hard to come by a dog that is so well trained, well mannered, loving, athletic, AND can get along with just about any living being!
